At Kwekerij Waalzicht, the Netherlands’ number one Lisianthus grower, Jan van Wijk has taken his cultivation to the next level by replacing his two-year-old LED system from a competitor with MechaTronix CoolStack Boost Dual 1030 Watt lights, featuring separate far-red control.

Operating on 85,000m², Jan now benefits from the dimmable 1030 Watt lights, which allow him to grow for longer hours and use energy more flexibly. The upgrade has proven to be a game changer, providing a more efficient and sustainable lighting solution for his large-scale operation.

Studies have shown that the separate far-red control adds significant value, especially during specific growth phases or periods of the year. It helps manage plant stretch and optimizes the light sum, resulting in healthier, more robust Lisianthus plants.

With this new setup, Kwekerij Waalzicht continues to lead in Lisianthus cultivation, increasing productivity while enhancing the quality of their crops.
