World-Class Strawberries from Zuilichem

Along the Uilkerweg in Zuilichem, the Netherlands, behind a majestic façade lies an impressive greenhouse spanning no less than 28.5 hectares. Here, Sonate strawberries are grown under full LED lighting of the highest quality.These juicy fruits find their way to consumers all over Europe — and even as far as Japan, through the Zaltbommel Auction. Currently, they are also experimenting with the Lady Emma variety.

To ensure top quality year-round, Dutch Berries uses MechaTronix CoolStack grow lights for 10 of their 14 hectares of lit cultivation. Thanks to this technology, they can produce from December through March and respond to the continuous demand for Dutch strawberries, regardless of the season.

Under the leadership of Director Gijbert Kreling and Co-Director Boudewijn van der Wal, Dutch Berries has grown into a leading player in the strawberry sector. Together, they form the beating heart of the company, guiding a team that works day in, day out in pursuit of perfection.

Dutch Berries is part of the GK Group, a grower collective with a total of 35 hectares of strawberry greenhouses, set to expand to 40 hectares. This scale allows them to serve not only the Dutch market but also international clients with premium-quality strawberries.
